 There are various taals in Hindustani classical music, each with its own unique combination of beats and subdivisions.

The history of Bulbulka Taal, also known as Bulbul Taal or Bulak Taal, is rooted in Hindustani classical music. It is considered a rare and ancient taal that originated in North Indian classical music traditions.

This taal is said to have 22 beats divided into three sections: 4-4-6-4-4. The arrangement of these beats is quite unique and distinguishes it from many other taals. Bulbulka Taal's rhythmic structure provides a distinctive framework for compositions and improvisations within the Hindustani classical music repertoire.

However, detailed historical documentation specifically focused on Bulbulka Taal might be limited, as its usage might have been more prevalent in certain regional or traditional styles rather than extensively documented in historical texts.
